Design modification during survey

If the person conducting the survey is different from the person who designed the survey, it is helpful to have the survey designer on board for at least the first part of the survey.  This is especially helpful if:

this is the first time the survey is to be conducted, or;

if a major change in the survey is taking place. 

With the survey designer on board, unforeseen complications can be dealt with immediately without loss or decreased data integrity.
