Survey Design and Sample Size Determination
Prior to implementing a survey there are a number of things to consider, one of which is how the design will be laid out, how many transects are needed (sample size) and the length and location of each transect. This section provides a means for exploring design options given an assumed or calculated measure of uncertainty and a choice of whether the analysis will follow classical or geostatistical means. An exploratory program has been designed for each of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain.
