Graduate Students

As of Fall 2007, my lab has four students, Caitlin Stern, Rebecca Lohnes, who started in 2006, Taza Schaming, who started in 2007, and Jim Goetz, who started in 2009. Two postdoctoral associates currently work in my lab: Elise Ferree, Ph.D. UC Santa Cruz, 2007 and Ben Zuckerberg, Ph.D. SUNY-ESF in 2009.

I believe that an ideal lab size is about 4 students, because it is the sharing of expertise and experience that creates the environment of learning and support that makes graduate school fun and exciting. Details on my current students and a copy of John Thompson's advice for graduate students can be found in the links above.
