___ Best time of year / weather conditions:

__ Solid, frozen soil

__ Dry, solid soil

__ Anytime in well-drained areas

___ Topographic maps with property marked on the map

___ Soil survey reviewed

___ Aerial photos with property marked

___ Location of landing marked on baseline map

___ Location of stream crossings marked on baseline map

___ Forest road and skid trails estimated on baseline map

___ Reviewed need for wetland, stream crossing, and local registration or permits

___ Walked through site, marking critical areas, location of forest roads, and stream and small channel crossings
